If any of this comes out wierd or has incorrect made-up words its because we have just finished a 19 hour drive. I already feel like more of a man. I can count a couple of extra chest hairs which rounds out to a grand total of 17 hairs. This drive may be our longest of the tour and in reality it wasn’t that bad. We left Glacier Park, Montana last night around 10PM and arrived in Morris, Minnesota today around 5Pm. The best part of the drive was before we even started the journey. Just outside the park was Charlie’s Place which seemed like a nice little spot to relax and have a drink (except the driver) before we left. But what really motivated us to check it out was learning that Charlie’s Place was at one point and maybe still be the 2nd toughest bar in America. While we may be one of the least toughest bands in America, we felt right at home. After ordering champagne coolies and virgin pina coladas we felt ready for the drive and booked across the flattest and most awesome part of America. Well I hear a free meal calling my name and since all I’ve eaten in the last 24 hours is PB&J sandwiches, red bull, and beef jerky, I don’t think I can write anymore.

As I sit in the beautiful home of merch-girl extrodinare Sequoia Methford, I realize that we, Speechwriters LLC, are about to step out of our comfort zone of West Coast sunshine and nice homes (Misha’s parents and Jack’s parents both have excellent abodes, a big thank you to the Chellams and Mahaffys) and into the belly of the fall tour. We really don’t know what to expect, well Dave and Misha do, but they don’t what to expect of me and Jack. They don’t know if and or when we will freak out, although Jack came pretty damm close today when he saw how much stuff he had to pack in our beautiful van. But Jack overcame that small obstacle and did a stellar job of packing. I think this is my outlook for this tour. You give me lemons, I’ll make lemonade. Give me the worst parts of a pig I’ll make pigs feet, snout, or chitlins. But thus far we havn’t had to create swine or use their parts, the west coast leg of the tour was a fine experience and I don’t plan to go downhill from here. Nope all uphill, nothing but chitlins and lemonade.
Let me start off by saying this is going to be awkard. I, Nitzan Ben-Or Chaim Lumer (that is really my full name) have never written a blog. I am probably the least computer friendly member of the band and it shows. I thought the internet was the inner netting on mens swim trunks and that Apple was some sort of farming powerhouse. But I am slowly learning from my elder bandmates that the internet is nothing to fear. In fact I have accomplished a great deal from the internet, specifically from a site called craigslist.com This is an amazing website which introduced me to this wonderful band, found me my apartment, and even helped me find a certain special lady who will remain nameless. See, I told you this was going to be awkard. Anyways, the first day of our fall tour is coming to an end. Our “new” van handled the California coastline with precision and grace, safely bringing us to the Chellam Manor. So now as we we’re about to get some rest and prepare for a huge, clutch, cargo gig at Misha’s former high school tomorow morning, the only thing I can possibly say is good night and I promise I’ll get better at this.
