hello.

i went to a mraz show last night and it was *incredible*… it was at the mountain winery, which is a gorgeous venue about five minutes from my house where i used to work when i was in high school.. jason’s voice was heartstopping, as usual, and the whole night had a special feel to it (because it was outdoors and warm and california)..

also, he had this incredible opening act, a 30 year old blind musician called raul midon.. this guy was seriously a world-class talent, the kind that makes the rest of us want to put down our instruments b/c we are all just faking it.

his website is www.midon.com, and supposedly there is some live stuff that you can download from his performance at the kennedy center.. definitely worth checking out.

that is all. hope you’re all doing well. i’ll speech to you all again soon.

hello all,

i don’t really have all that much to say, except that i worked at a huey lewis concert tonight and it was pretty fantastic.. (if, one day, Speechwriters LLC has a horn section, it will be b/c of huey.. and ani)

did you all know that huey got a 1600 on his SAT, back when there weren’t SAT classes and you could only take the test once? smart man. and a hell of a harmonica player.

a guy named Paul Thorne opened up the show. the only reason that i mention it is because he managed to successfully rhyme “failure” and “genitalia” in a song.
